	Release agents Substances, usually based on organic fats or oils or on silicones, which are introduced into a mould (in metal or polymer injection moulding) to provide optimal release of the product from the mould. Plasma treatment allows the removal of release agents like oils or silicones from the surface, in particular in cases when they disturb following production steps (e. g. coating).
