Polypropylene (PP)
Semi-crystalline thermoplastic polymer with higher strength, stiffness and melting temperature than polyethylene. Due to the lack of polar groups poor adhesion of virtually all coatings on untreated PP. The adhesion of most coatings on PP can be substantially improved by plasma treatment, usually employing oxygen as process gas.
