[ Which treatment effects and/or improvements can be achieved by using the atmospheric plasma on the surface? ]
| |
| |
Principally will the surface tension increase by the plasma treatment. The surface becomes better wettable. |

[ Which production speed with the PlasmaBeam makes the plasma treatment effective enough? ]
| |
| |
The speed of the treatment depends totally from the type of surface and also from posed task. E.G. the treatment speed can vary from some centimetres per minute for the cleaning of metals, up to 30-40 meters per minute for the activation of polymers. |

[ Which parameters have to be considered during atmospheric plasma treatment? ]
| |
| |
Treatment speed and distance between plasma nozzle and treated surface are very important parameters. |

[ What should be available for the PlasmaBeam (connections.)? ]
| |
| |
For the PlasmaBeam it is necessary to have a power supply of 230 V, an additional grounding and a compressed air supply with 5-8 bar of pressure (dry and oil free). |

[ What is the temperature of the active gas beam from the plasma nozzle? ]
| |
| |
The active gas beam from the plasma nozzle can be referring to the category so mentioned - cold plasma (< 300°C). In addition, the plasma treatment with this equipment is to accomplish only with relative movement of surface to the plasma nozzle. In this case, the surface temperature increases to approx. 15-20 C°. |

[ What is plasma cleaning? ]
| |
| |
This process can concern only metal or glass surface. The organic impurity will be removed from the surface by the plasma cleaning. |

[ What is plasma activation? ]
| |
| |
Plasma activation is the formation of radical positions at the surface. Adhesives and painting systems can be better bonded. |

[ What are the main advantages of the PlasmaBeam technology in comparison with other surface treatment processes? ]
| |
| |
The treatment quality remains stably high also at increased production speeds. So it is possible to use this technology for an In-Line pre-treatment process. Operating costs by using of compressed air plasma are very low. Modern switching technology makes it possible to reduce the required installation space. |

[ Possible materials for the plasma treatment: ]
| |
| |
Normally there is no restriction. The active gas beam from the plasma nozzle is free of HV-potential. It can be not-conductive as well as conductive materials. |

[ Do toxic exhaust gases will be developed? ]
| |
| |
Nitrogen oxides are produced during the atmospheric arc discharge with compressed air. For health reasons, the plasma systems must be used with sufficient exhaust. The PlasmaBeam exhaust gases are free of ozone. |
