	Cross-cut tape test The cross-cut tape test is applied to characterize the adhesion of coatings. Herein, the surface of a sample is cut cross-wise after coating. Afterwards, an adhesive tape is stuck onto the cut surface and then peeled off. If parts of the coating remain on the tape, the coating’s adhesion is insufficient.
